Combined Charities Climbs Over $20,000

The Combined Charities Drive passed the $20,000 mark last night after three days of collection. With the addition of over $4700 from solicitations yesterday, the drive eased towards its Friday deadline.

Not surprisingly, yesterday's collection of $4700 was down a bit from Monday and Tuesday totals of $8900 and $7000. Figures indicated, however, that with two more days of solicitation the Drive might equal or surpass last year's total of $31,000. No official goal has been set.
