Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
The Harvard soccer team faces its first test of the season against Tufts at 3 p.m. today on the Jumbos' field. But it won't really be much of a test.
The Jumbos are traditionally a weak group which rarely gives Harvard soccer teams much of a contest. What they may lack in skill, however, they make up for in determination and roughness.
Since Coach Bruce Munro is pointing mainly at he rough game against Amherst next Saturday, he plans to guard against possible injuries by using his first-string men sparingly But while the game itself won't mean very much, it will give Munro the chance to experiment with different combinations of his second third string men, and give his sophomores badly needed experience.
Munro hopes to have his squad in top condition when it meets Amherst, one of the top teams in New England, next Saturday.
