The Visual Arts Center will open for classes with the beginning of the spring term Monday.
Equipped with art studios, workshops, darkrooms, film editing equipment, and an experimental auditorium, the Center will be used for undergraduate design courses.
Final completion and dedication of the building will take place in late May. Already a Faculty Committee on the Practice of the Visual Arts is planning courses, exhibitions, and other activities for which the building may be utilized next fall.
Tonight the Huntley-Brinkley news report will show films of the Visual Art Center at 6:45 p.m. on Channel 4.
