The University has recently given a substantial amount of land to WGBH, the educational television station whose studios were destroyed by fire last fall. This grant continues a long and praiseworthy tradition of Harvard support to the station.
The sacrifice required by this gift should not be underestimated. The land has a value estimated at $250,000 and it is part of a larger area which is sufficiently attractive to have been included among the two or three possible sites for the Kennedy library.
