Haircuts Go Up to $2.00

The price of a haircut in Harvard Square moves up 25 cents this morning. Following a vote of the Boston Chapter of the Associated Master Barbers and Beauticians of America, the price rises to $2, among the highest in the nation. Shaves will now cost $1.25, a 50 count increase.

There was no information last night on whether the independent barbershop in the Commander Hotel, which traditionally charges students $1.25 for a clipping, would join the march skyward.
