Cambridge Orchestra Plays Here Tomorrow

The renowned acoustics of Sanders Theatre will be shown off tomorrow evening when the Cambridge Civic Symphony Orchestra gives a special concert there.

Founded and conducted by Victor Manusevitch, a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the body has presented a significant series of concerts to Cambridge audiences since 1959.

Included on tomorrow's program will be two local premieres: the Symphony in D by Mehul, a celebrated contemporary and favorite of Beethoven; and the superb Third Piano Concerto by Bartok, the last work finished by the composer before he died in New York. Soloist in the concerto will be Katja Andy.

Rounding out the program is the enormously popular Edith Symphony by Tchaikovsky. Students with Summer School cards will be admitted at the reduced price of one dollar.
