The Harvard Council for Undergraduate Affairs last night voted to establish a permanent Freshman Jubilee advisory committee to look into the fate of Jubillee week-end and, should the event be continued, provide advice to future Jubillee commitees on the proper manner to organize it.
The committee will be composed of several HCUA members, past Jubilee chairmen, and others who have had experience in planning the event.
Several council members pointed out, during discussion, that they supported the motion under the understanding that HCUA was not "implicitly endorsing the continuance of Jubilee Week-end."
A member of the council also moved that HCUA appropriate $25 in support of this Friday's elephant race, but the motion failed because of lack of a quorum.
