McClelland Will Be Chairman Of Social Relations Department

David C. McClelland, Director of the Center for Research in personality, will become Chairman of the Department of Social Relations July 1.

Expected to succeed McClelland as head of the Center in Brendan A. Maher, lecturer of Psychology and associate in the Laboratory of Social Relations. Maher has been a member of the Center for two years. The Social Relations faculty will meet Tuesday to consider the appointment.

McClelland, professor of psychology, will succeed Robert W. White '25, who will take a sabbatical next year.
