Lacrosse Team, Elis To Battle Tomorrow

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

They can clinch a second place finish in the Ivy League by beating Yale at New Haven tomorrow, but the varsity lacrosse team needs a Cornell victory over. Princeton on the same day to get even a share of the top position. Strongly entrenched in first place and going for their sixth straight Ivy title, the Tigers make this second condition for a Crimson championship a remote possibility at best.

A varsity win over the Elis, traditionally the nicest of things, is a stronger bet and even a probability if the varsity plays the kind of lacrosse it is capable of playing. Yale looked good early in the season, but recent losses to Cornell (a varsity victim) and Syracuse give Coach Bruce Munro's squad a definite edge in tomorrow's contest.
