Publisher Jeremiah Kapian, vice-president of the Macmillan company, will, be one of several publishing executives to lecture at the 15th annual summer course in publishing at Radcliffe College, June 20 through July 31.
The course is open to college graduates, both men and women, and gives students a practical view of publishing, from editing to selling, from magazine to text books. Students learn by doing, and perform the actual publishing functions which carry as idea or an assignment to the reading public via the marketplace.
Two workships, one on printing and production, the other on type and layout, complement the lectures, field trips and special project assignments. In the final week of the course, students work in teams to produce their own magazine
