EC DEPARTMENT APPOINTS 4 ASSISTANT PROFESSORS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Four assistant professors have been appointed to the Economics department, raising its total to seven. At least two will teach largely on the undergraduate level.

The four are: Clopper Almon Jr., instructor in Economics: Phoebus J. Dhrymes, now at the Institute for Mathematical Study in the Social Sciences at Stanford; Elliott J. Berg, instructor in Economics; and Thomas A. Wilson, instructor in Economics.

The Department, in response to student interest, will offer a course in the economics of managerial decision-making next spring. The course, Ec 140, will be taught by Zenon S. Zannetbos, professor of industrial management at M.I.T.

Heading junior tutorial next year will be Richard E. Caves, associate professor at the University of California.
