PRINCETON'S faculty has approved a new regulation allowing the university's departments not to require junior generals. The change was made, officials reported, because some departments felt junior generals merely repeated exams given as part of the regular curriculum, although departments in which part of junior independent work is tested on generals will probably retain them.
Theologian Karl Barth spent a week at PRINCETON as part of the 150th anniversary celebration of the university's Theological Seminary. Barth attacked Protestantism and other faiths for exaiting man as the center of humanistic religions.
PRINCETON president Robert F. Goheen and Mrs. Goheen returned May 4 from a seven-week globe-circling tour and were met on the campus by an undergraduate welcoming rally. Goheen's trip was sponsored by the Ford Foundation and included stops at educational institutions in India, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. from the Daily Princetonian
