Revised Constitution May Increase Suits

The number of suits brought against Radcliffe College by irate parents may increase because of the greater powers given RGA under its new constitution, lawyer Barbara Alpern told several members of the student government recently. She doubted, however, that the 'Cliffe would lose any more suits than it does now.

The lawyer offered her opinion when RGA consulted her about the legal aspects of the new constitution. As a result of her suggestions several major changes have been made in the document.

Under the revised draft, officers will be reelected annually rather than serving until their graduations. To assure that the executive committee does not control RGA, the requests of only three members of the Legislature will be sufficient to have an item included on the agenda. The senior class president will be a member of the Legislature. Approval of two-thirds of the voters will be required to amend the constitution.
