Quincy 'Mascles' War

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A take issue of the Quincy House newsletter, adorned with a legitimate looking red Quincy shield, announced last night that superintendent John Allen would permanently look all exits except the one near his office. That gate, the issue reported, would be locked most of the night while the watchman made his rounds so "no one will get in or out of the House unseen."

Last night's fake Mascle appeared after a five-week duel between the official House organ which uses a red shield, and an unidentified band of conspirators. Previous ersatz newsletters carried black shields and the official Mascle had warned Quincy men to trust only red ones. A spokesman for the official Mascle said he felt "compromised" last night.
