George Doub, Robert Kolodney, Jr., and Frederick Pereira won quarter-final matches in the Eastern Collegiate Wrestling Tournament at Penn State last Friday and Saturday, but that's as far as Harvard got.

"It was Lehigh against the East," an observer was heard to comment, "and Lehigh won." Pitt took second, but it was a clear victory for the men from Lehigh, who captured 6 of 12 first places.

Doub, Kolodney, and Pereira, were defeated in the semi-finals by wrestlers from Syracuse, Army, and Pitt. The remaining seven entries from Harvard lost in the preliminaries.

A crowd of 5,000, most of them from Lehigh, witnessed the tournament. They had plenty to cheer about.
