Coach Jack Baranby's squash team spilt the first six matches with Amberst, then swept the last three in straight sets to win 6-3, at Amherst yesterday.
Vic Niederhoffer defeated Amherst captain Dudley Lyons in the number one +match, 12-15, 15-7, 15-11, and 15-9, but Amberst's Jack Walter evened team scores by sweeping Paul Sullivan 15-3, 15-11, and 15-3.
In the third match, Crimson junior Doug Walter outlasted Porter Wheeler in an endurance contest, 12-15, 15-7, 12-15, 15-4, and 15-9. Captain Roger Wiegand was blasted by the Purple's Fred Sadler in games of 12-15, 11-15, 15-7, and 14-6 in the fourth match.

After sophomore John Vinton was turned back by Amherst's Roger Alcaly in the fifth match, the Crimson's Lou Williams swept by Blair Sadler 15-4, 15-14, and 15-10 to again even the match totals.
The Crimson took the seven, eight, and nine matches with John Nelson, John Thorndike, and John Francis crushing their opponents. Junior Alex McDonell triumphed in the tenth match 12-15, 15-9, 15-10, and 15-12.
The freshmen demolished their Amherst opposition, winning nine matches to none while losing only one game out of 31.
