Anderson Finds Fault With Teaching Pattern

The standard pattern of education in the conventional American school is a failure, Robert H. Anderson, professor of Education, declared last week.

Addressing a joint convention of 750 New York State school superintendents and school district chairmen, Anderson asserted that the American educational system "rewards the relatively less unsuccessful of the stars of our teaching staff."

With a stronger emphasis on instruction to meet the requirements of the individual student, the education expert declared, the need to increase the flexibility and efficiency of educational resources becomes more evident. Anderson claimed that team teaching and ungraded classes would be valuable in attaining a greater efficiency in individualized education.
