Harvard's wrestlers proved too tough for Brown in the heavy weights and took an 13-16 match last Saturday in the IAB. The win broke a six-match losing streak for the varsity.
Captain George Doub maintained his undefeated record for the year, decisioning Ken Linker 2-1 at 130 after Ed Grietzer had lost his 123 match to John Fish of Brown.
The Bruins momentarily regained the lead when the Crimson's Jim Gaffney lost 2-1, but then Bob Kolodney and Fred Pereira achieved consecutive pins at 157 and 167.
Paul Schnits won a 4-0 decision at 177 and John Valentine worked a 3-3 draw with Charies Coe to assure the Crimson of at least a tie. In a see-saw battle, Gill Wood decisioned Bob Fastov in the heavyweight match, 5-4.
