Lowell Reaches Charities Goal

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Lowell House last night attained its goal of $2300 dollars, and leads House donations to the Combined Charities by close to $1000. In general, however, contributions dropped off substantially, as a result of Wednesday's rainy weather and full sports schedule.

James G. Tucker '65, treasurer of the drive, said that he expected an increase in donations tonight.

He was especially pleased with the record amounts contributed by the Radcliffe dorms, which with the more than $2000 given to date have far exceeded last year's total of $1200. A $6000 goal been set for the 'Cliffies, but Tucker hopes that the girls will give more than the $5.00 per person asked.

Every attempt is being made to reach as many people as possible, Tucker said. The Combined Charities committee felt that one of last year's problems was that not as many members of the colleges had been reached as might have been.
