Dartmouth which effectively dominated the Ivy League flag race, had a similarly successful record in the official All-Ivy poll taken by the League coaches. The Big Green placed five on the first squad, as compared to Harvard's two.

Crimson end Dave Hudepohl and tackle Ed Smith were the only Harvard representatives on the first string. Backs Bill Taylor and Bill Grana and center Brand Stephens were placed on the second team. Honorable mention went to quarterback Mike Bassett.

Quarterback Bill King, Center Don McKinnon, back Tom Spangenberg, tackle Bill Blumenschein, and guard Ed Boies were the Indians on the first team. Penn end Ron Allshouse, Princeton guard Tim Callard, Columbia's Archie Roberts, and Cornell's Gary Wood completed the top 11.

On the second group were: ends--Ed Burnap, Cornell; Scott Creelman, Dartmouth; tackles--Ed Slisky, Cornell; Perry Wickstrom, Yale; guards--Jack Page, Cornell; Tony Day, Columbia; center--Stephens; backs--Taylor and Grana; Randy Egloff, Yale; and Cosmo Iacavazzi, Princeton.
