The Student Council of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences is planning to investigate discrimination in Cambridge housing.
"We had considered doing something about civil rights in the South," commented Council President John Brody, "but decided instead to look into our own community."
Brody said that an ad hoc committee of about ten people has been formed by the Council. It is asking for reports of housing discrimination and plans either to try and solve the specific problems informally itself or to refer them to the Massachusetts Commission on Discrimination.
