Dunster Leads Soccer League

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Dunster's perenially enthusiastic soccer team appears headed for its second straight interhouse championship after nudging out the Eliot booters 2-1 yesterday.

Dunster enters a four way round robin tournament today with a 6-1 record; the loss was to a weak Kirkland squad. Quincy threatens the leaders with a 4-1-2 record, Eliot is 4-2-1 and Adams 3-2-2. The team with the best total record after the tournament faces Yale on November 23.

Dave Stone, who with John Millard has accounted for most of Dunster's scores this season, banged in both Funster goals against Eliot. Veteran Dunster goalie David "Kid" Ames insured the victory with four spectacular saves.

Dunster scoring is generally light, but the defense sparked by the big kicks of fullbacks Tony Olivieri and Tod Baker and the hustle of center halfback Andy Shaffer has managed to stave off late scoring threats.
