Crimson sailers are a heavy favorite as they square off against seven other top Ivy League crews in the first race of the new Ivy League Dinghy Championship this afternoon.

The first race is scheduled to start at 1 p. m. at the M. I. T. sailing pavilion on the Charles River Basin; port time for skippers and crews today is 13:30 p.m. Tomorrow's racing series will start at 10 a.m.

Carter Ford, captain of the Crimson sailing team, will start as skipper in the "A" division for Harvard. Mike Horn will start in the "B" division, while Mike Lehmann is available for relief.

Bus Mosbacher, skipper of the victorious American's Cup defender, Weatherly, has donated the perpetual trophy for the new championship.
