San Francisco's weather was clear and sunny Sunday, but a water-saturated out-field at Candlestick Park forced the third consecutive postponement of the sixth game of the 1962 World Series. The Giants' groundskeeper is certain that the field will be ready for a game today.

The Yankees lead in the Series 3-2 and can win it all if they win today. Giant Manager Alvin Dark will send left-hander Billy Pierce to pitch today's game against the Yankees' Whitey Ford.
