A. Edward Lilley, associate professor of Astronomy, was one of ten men chosen for commendation by the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce.
Director of the Agassiz Radio Astronomy Center, Lilley was the first man to measure the distance to a radio star.
The citations are connection with the Junior Chamber's annual congress, which is meeting in Santa Monica, Cal.
Other recipients of citations include astronaut Virgil (Gus) Grissom; Newton N. Minow, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, and Theodore C. Sorenson, special counsel to the President. All the winners are under 35.
