* The Claremont Quartet concludes its summer series tonight with a concert of three Beethoven string quartets: B flat major, Opus 18, no. 6; C Major, Opus 59, no. 3; and C sharp minor, Opus 131.

* The last dormitory dance--for any and all Summer School students with privilege cards and 50 cents--will be held tomorrow night in the Union at 3:30 p.m. The Union holds 450.

* A proctors baseball game will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Soldiers Field. Admission free.

* At Basch-Reisinger Museum the program of recorded music, 1-2 p.m. next Monday through Friday, is Schubert's Impromptus, selections from Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream, Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition (related to works of art), Rachmaninoff's Isle of the Dead (related to works of art), Satie's Three Pieces in the Shape of a Pair (related to works of art), Mozart's Symphony no. 36 ("Linz"), and Beethoven's Symphony no. 6.

* The Saturday (3-5 p.m.) program at Matthews Common Room will be Sibellius, Four Legends, Opus 22; Mahler. Symphony no. 1 in D major; Piston. Three Pieces for Flute, Clarinet, and Bassoon; Thompson, Suits for Oboe, Clarinet, and Viola; Rieti, Sonata for Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, and Piano; and Jongen, Concerto, Opus 124.

* Sunday's recordings include Mozart, Serenade no. 11 for Winds, in E flat major; Beethoven, Sonata no. 15 in D major; Opus 23; Schuman, Quintet in E fiat major for Piano and Strings, Opus 44; Bizet, Symphony no. 1 in C major; and Bach, Concerto Grosso no. 1 for Strings and Orchestra with piano obligato.
