Wilbur J. Bender '27, former Dean of the College, has been named Director of the permanent Charity Fund in Boston.

Dean of the College until 1952 when he became Dean of Admissions and Finacial Aid, Bender resigned in June 1960 to become Associate Director of the Fund, a private firm that distributes individuals' bequeathed contributions. He received an honorary degree from Harvard last June.
