Weaver to Speak On City Renewal

Robert C. Weaver '29, Federal Housing Administrator, will speak at Lowell Lecture Hall Friday at 8:30 p.m. The topic of the lecture, sponsored by the Department of City and Regional Planning in the Graduate School of Design, will be "A New Outlook on Urban Development."

Weaver has worked on housing and urban problems for the past 25 years and is now administrator of the agency that directs the federal government's programs is these areas. He could become the U.S.'s first Negro Cabinet member if a bill to make his office a top-level position passes Congress.
