Lacrosse Squad, 8-0, Combats Crusaders

By Peter A. Derow

Eight teams have encountered the varsity lacrosse squad this season. Eight teams have lost.

And unless something extremely strange occurs this afternoon at Worcester Holy Cross will be the ninth team up and the ninth team down.

Last year, playing under less than ideal weather conditions, the Crimson handed the Crusaders a 21 to 9 shellacking on the Business School flats. Except for minor variations, the Crusaders will field the same team this afternoon this endured that onslaught.

Coach Bruce Munro will probably start his winning unit of Woody Spruance, Dave Bohn, and Grady Watts at attack. Hal Louchheim, Captain Tadhg Sweeney, and Dave Prahl constitute the first midfield, backed by high-scoring Pete Sieglaff, Gil Bamford, and Dave Nyhan at second midfield. John Reese, Leo Ullman, and Mike Tyler constitute Munro's third midfield unit. Dave Grannis, Henry Field, and Arnie Margoluis will start at defense, with Gil Leaf in the nets.
