The Princeton golf team handed the varsity a 7-0 lashing Saturday in the Crimson's Ivy League opener. The Tigers never gave coach Cooney Weiland's club a chance, shooting an average of 77, with a low of 72.
The loss came as a surprise after the Crimson's 7-0 whitewash of Brandeis Thursday. The top four--captain Fiske Warren, Bob Holton, Bruce Johnstone, and John Livingood, in that order--were never in contention Saturday.
The varsity will attempt to improve on its present 2-2 record Tuesday at M.I.T., and against Penn Friday in New York.
