Crimson to Oppose Cornell in Lacrosse

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity lacrosse team will be looking for its seventh victory in as many starts when it encounters Cornell at Ithaca this afternoon.

Last year the Crimson picked up the short end of a 13-12 decision, in which the Big Red scored the tie-breaking goal in the final minute. Playing to avenge that loss and to win its first Ivy League match, the Crimson should give Cornell trouble.

Coach Bruce Munro will start Grady Watts, Woody Spruance, and Dave Bohn at attack. Hal Loucheim, Joe Prahl, and captain Tadhg Sweeney will be the first midfield, backed by the equally powerful second unit composed of Gil Bamford, Pete Sieglaff, and Charlie Nyhan.

Dave Grannis, Henry Field, and Arnie Margoluis will combine defensively to stop the Big Red offensive, and Gil Leaf and Bob Bland will share the goaltending duties.
