At 165 lbs., traditionally favored Dudley House sends Mike Ashman against Alan Begay of Lowell House. Two mighty Dudleyites will oppose each other at 155 lbs. when Carmen Gentile meets Barry Sieger.
The other House finalists are: Jerry Daly (Winthrop) vs. Tom Steele (Kirkland) at 175 lbs; Henry Applebaum (Kirkland) vs. Bill Keough (Dudley) at 145 lbs.
In freshman contests, Jim Cook vs. John Doak at 175 lbs.; Bob Hageback vs. Michael Purtell at 165 lbs.; Paul Fremont-Smith vs. Richard Jones at 155 lbs.; Art Gruggel vs. Jerry Colt at 145 lbs.; Tom Staley vs. Tom Hervey at 135 lbs.
Because his competitor Ernie Zissis of Dudley House has injured his hand, big Rick Rice (247 lbs., 6 ft., 4 in.) of Adams House will automatically assume the House heavyweight title if he appears.
