The Harvard Athletic Association's ticket office has ever been an organization devoted to hiding its light under a bushel. Its activities are shrouded in discreet anonymity, and a sense of bureaucratic modesty prevents the office even from announcing how tickets are to be distributed for any coming athletic event. Seemly as all this secrecy is, it is also a little irritating to the undergraduates the agency serves. Many, for example, would appreciate knowing beforehand how many, college tickets are available for the next game or meet. And it would also be of interest to know how the number of alumni tickets issued for any given event compare with the number allowed undergraduates. Such a service on the part of the ticket office would clear up a lot of confusion, and all for the price of a little modesty.
