Blasting off with five quick goals in the first period of play, the JV hockey team rolled over a hard fighting, never-say-die Yardling sextet in Watson Rink yesterday to win the annual JV-Freshman game 7 to 5.
Leading the JV squad is scoring with two goals each were Ronnie Thompson and Dick Blakey. Mike Tyler, Bill Golden, and Bob McCoy contributed the other three goals.
For the freshmen, who were stunned so hard in the opening moments that it took one whole period to recover, Barry Treadwell, Franz Jevne, Bill Fryer, Ike Ikauniks, and Mike Patterson scored one goal a piece--in a valiant though not sufficient comeback.
