Nadine Gordimer, a South African novelist and short-story writer, will discuss "The Novel and the Nation--South Africa" in the fourth annual Ann Radcliffe Lecture to be given in the Loeb Drama Center Wednesday, March 8, at 8:30 p.m.
In addition, Miss Gordimer will spend a week at Radcliffe and will present three story readings open to both Harvard and Radcliffe students.
A frequent contributor to The New Yorker, Miss Gordimer is the author of two novels, The Lying Days and A World of Strangers. She has published three collections of short stories, titled The Soft Voice of the Serpent, Six Feet of the Country, and Friday's Footprints.
Miss Gordimer is coming to the United States under an international exchange program sponsored by the Institute of Contemporary Arts in Washington, D.C.
