All of us love the snow, Radcliffe girls built a snow deer in their Yard, and sports car owners have been seen good-naturedly probing drifts in search of their cars. Yet each day, a mountain of precious snow melts away. And yesterday, in one of the most grotesque displays of municipal extravagance since the last snow storm, the City of Camridgbe began its wasteful and shocking dumping of snow in the Concord Avenue Dump.
Thoughtful citizens ask themselves what defense they have against this outrage. Protest has failed, and now the time has come for vigorous action. An emergency snowfort must be built to save our snow. Experts agree that the soundest proposal is far a fifteen story snowfort on stilts in the northern corner of Harvard Square, across from Littauer. This is a temporary solution, but nonetheless a solution, And time is running out.
