Pudding Chooses 'Woman of Year'

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Actress Jane Fonda will join the ranks of all-time favorites Mamie Eisenhower and Grace Kelly when she receives the Hasty Pudding Theatricals Woman of the Year Award tomorrow.

The 22-year-old daughter of veteran movie actor Henry Fonda made her Broadway debut in Joshua Logan's production of There Was a Little Girl.

The New York Critics Poll selected Miss Fonda as the "Most Promising Actress" of the 1960 season. Last year she was awarded the "Laurel Award for the Year's Most Promising Screen Debut" for her performance in Tall Story.

In keeping with a traditional effort to prove more attractive than the lady of their choice, Pudding members will dress in feminine attire for the awards ceremony.
