The Harvard Opera Guild's performance of "The Barber of Seville" by Guiseppo Paisello, scheduled to open on March 2, will almost certainly have to fold.
The production's stage and technical directors have been forced to quit: this week the lead actors suddenly deserted the show.
John P. Leonard '62, president of the Opera Guild, said that although "we're in pretty tough shape," the Guild is not yet giving up all hope of carrying out the performance.
