Broom Replaces Ibis As 'Lampoon' Symbol

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Lampoon's sacred Ibis, perched for these many years on the 'Poon Castle, has been stolen. In its place resides a broom.

'Poon president Jack Winter '62 claims he has a good idea who stole it--including the names of three individuals--but won't press charges if the $7200 bird is returned quickly.

A spokesman for Gargoyle, the College's humor magazine, which by rumor is implicated in the theft, merely pointed out that this is Ibis-mating time. "The Lampoon can keep the broom," he said. "It belongs to the University anyway."
