Northeastern Topples Yardling Sextet, 3-2

The freshman hockey team lost a 3-2 heartbreaker yesterday to the same Northeastern team which beat them 6-1 a week ago.

The Yardlings led 2-0 after two periods, but Northeastern came back in the third period and scored the winning goal with one Crimson player sidelined.

Gardner Jackson scored first for the Crimson with an assist from Alex Stohn. Stohn tallied the second with assists from Jackson and Steve Clark.

The improving freshmen will play a traditionally strong Exeter squad Saturday. The undefeated J.V. team will put its spotless 3-0 record on the line when it faces UConn this afternoon at 2 p.m.
