Scoring two goals in the third period the freshman soccer team defeated Brown, 2-1, Saturday to raise its season record to 6-0-2.

Right wing Bill Hitzig booted a hard shot from directly in front of the nets for the first Crimson tally, five minutes into the period. With only one minute left, left wing Sam Thompson scored on a flick pass from left inside Barry Custer.

Brown Scores

Brown center forward Ed Hooks connected with a corner kick 20 seconds later for the Bruins' only tally.

Several outstanding saves by goalie Jimmy Tyng protected the Crimson margin during the game.

The Yardlings wind up their season with a contest at Yale Friday.
