Charles T. W. Curie, a specialist in the field of international education and the problems of underdeveloped countries, is visiting professor of Education this year at Harvard University.
He will conduct seminars on problems of international education for students and faculty of the Graduate School of Education.
Professor Curie comes from the University College of Ghana where he was Professor of Education and head of the Department of Education. Previously, he spent three years in Pakistan as a consultant to the Ford Foundation-Harvard Pakistan Project in Economic Planning. His foreign experience also includes service in Lapland, the Sudan and the Middle East. Last summer he was social and economic adviser to the government of Bhutan.
A native of England, Professor Curie was awarded the B.S. and M.A. in 1947 and the Ph.D. in 1950 from Oxford. In England, he was Professor of Education and Psychology at Exeter and University Lecturer in Social Psychology at Oxford.
