President Pusey leaves this morning for the Korean capital city of Seoul, the first stop on his nine-week visit to universities of the free nations of Asia.
Accompanying the President and Mrs. Pusey will be R. Keith Kane '22, Corporation member, and Mrs. Kane. The group will tour universities and research centers in Korea, Japan, Formosa, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand, and India.
Talks to Harvard Clubs along the route are scheduled. Pusey will also speak before the American-Japan Society in Tokyo, and will address the annual convocation at the University of Delhi.
In New Delhi he will attend the Third Assembly of the World Council of Churches, and sitting for the third time as a member of the Central Committee at the Council's triennial meeting.
Charles A. Coolidge '17, Senior Fellow of the Corporation, will assume the duties of President until Pusey returns in December.
