SENIORS TAKE FIRST IN GOLFING TOURNAMENT

Seniors Bruce Johnstone and John Livingood have won this year's Gerald Henderson Memorial Tournament, the annual University golf championship.

Johnstone--not a member of the Crimson golf team--took low gross honors with a 75, and Livingood, captain of the Harvard squad, won low net competition with a 69. (He grossed 76, and points were deducted according to the Callaway Handicap system, which is used to encourage one and all to compete.)

Tying for second in the low gross competition were Livingood and George Duffy, two-time winner of the tournament, with 76; runners-up in low net were Bob Hentges and Doug Eaton, with 71.

The tournament was held earlier this month on Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland.

Johnstone lettered in soccer in his sophomore and junior years.
