Led by the outstanding play of Arty (the Tiger) Fox, Raymond Waitkins, Bob Selig, and Lee Raitz, Kirkland's football team ran its single wing to an exciting 14-12 victory over Eliot. The crucial play was Kirkland's second touchdown, scored on a double reverse pass play with 55 seconds left to play.
