The cross country team will run against Penn and Columbia this afternoon in New York's Van Cortlandt Part. Neither opponent should give the undefeated Crimson much trouble. In fact, the real reason for the match is to give the team experience on the tricky Cortlandt track, where the Heptagonal and Intercollegiate championships will be held in three and four weeks respectively.
The only likely threat to the Crimson big three--Ed Hamlin, Mark Mullin, and Ed Meehan--is Penn's Roy Riesinger, who recently broke the Penn track record. Meehan has recovered from the cold that slowed him down in his last two outings.
The freshmen, who posted good times in beating UMass 23 to 34 last Wednesday, will also compete.
