Despite final examinations, tonsillitis, and an occasional lack of track technique, there are many hopeful spots in the track team line-up for the Boston Athletic Association Games tomorrow. The field events will be held in Briggs Cage, starting at 1 p.m., and the running events are scheduled for the Boston Garden at 7 p.m.

In the 35 lb. weight, Crimson chances will depend on whether or not meet officials will cooperate. Stan Doten and Ted Balley, who finished 2nd and 4th respectively in the Knights of Columbus meet, will have to throw early if they are to make afternoon examinations at Mem Hull. Roger Wilson should also place solidly in this event.

If Steve Cohen has recovered sufficiently from a recent tonsillectomy, and Rick deLone is throwing well, the Crimson should place well in the shot put.

Perhaps the top event of the afternoon will be the broad jump. The Crimson took third through fifth places in the K of C Meet without the services of the top varsity men, Tom Blodgett and Nile Albright, who will be jumping tomorrow.

Blodgett will carry the chief Crimson hopes in the evening events at the Garden. He should be able to repeat or better his second place finish in the K of C hurdles event and may clear 14 feet in the pole vault. Speedy football halfback William Hatch is another solid threat in the hurdles, and senior Tony Leness has consistently been going over six feet in the high jump.

If Larry Repsher can complete his cram course in track techniques and learn to run a race without ending up 20 yards behind, he will probably be coach McCurdy's choice for the 440 yard race.

The Crimson will enter Frank Yeomans, Don Kirkland, Gus Schumacher, and Dave Nawi in the mile relay against Yale and Princeton. The Tigers should not provide serious competition, but Yale coach Geigengack has heavily stacked his relay team and the Blue will probably give the Crimson a decisive defeat.

Captain Fred Howard will be a solid threat in the 880, especially if the early pace allows him to run his own race.
