Secretary of HYDC Resigns; Protests Club's Lack of Goals

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

"The HYDC has lost sight of the goals necessary in a political club of its type," Steven L. Kroll '62 said last night, commenting on his resignation as HYDC secretary. Kroll is the fourth member of the HYDC Executive Committee to resign this year.

One of the major goals of the Club, according to Kroll, should be to provide political activity in the University. This, he stated, it has not done. Greater offorts should also be made by the leadership to stimulate interest in politics and to give the community a better knowledge of political activities.

The HYDC can play a significant role in the University. By placing emphasis on Secondary objectives, however, it nullifies its effect, Kroll declared.

Commenting on the Fall's resignations, Minot W. Tripp '61, HYDC president said that these were nothing unusual. In the course of each year members of the Executive Committee resign for various reasons, including disagreement with executive policy.
