Cyclists Will Battle

Stacked with bales of hay and resounding with band music and yells of 'Cliffie cheerleaders, Cambridge Common will be the scene tomorrow morning for a highlight of Harvard-Yale athletic rivalry, the annual bicycle marathon.

The Bar Handlers of Cambridge, representing the College, will meet Yale's Spoke and Wheel Society in a rerun of last year's indecisive contest at New Haven. The 1959 race ended in a draw after all the bicycles had been wrecked early in the contest.

This year's sponsor, W. Godfrey Wood '63, has taken special precautions to insure completion of the contest. Replacement cycles have been provided, and a Yale math professor has reportedly been imported to judge the contest.

The Crimson team will include four professional hockey players who, although not Harvard students, have been allowed to compete.
