Two new opponents and seven home games are the features of the 1961 varsity football schedule.
Lehigh and Colgate will return to the varsity slate, replacing Holy Cross and the University of Massachusetts. The Crimson will play its Ivy opener against Cornell on the second date of the season, instead of on the third, as has been the case in the past two years.
The season will begin with five straight home contests before the Crimson travels to Penn on Nov. 4. The only other away game will be at Yale on Nov. 25, the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
The schedule:
Sept. 30--Lehigh
Oct. 7--Cornell
Oct. 14--Colgate
Oct. 21--Columbia
Oct. 28--Dartmouth
Nov. 4--at Pennsylvania
Nov. 11--Princeton
Nov. 18--Brown
Nov. 25--at Yale
